If you have a vacation scheduled during the weeks I am teaching, please let me know as soon as you know - I try and fit lessons into open spots, and you may need the same favor in return sometime!
For those who are auditioning for Lancaster Youth/Jr. Orchestras - I will get you in for some lessons before the audition, don’t worry! Keep working on those solos!
We will start back up on the regular schedule in September (date TBA, of course); I’ll call and set you up sometime after Labor Day.
Concert Note!! The Pennsylvania Flute Choir – the one I play in - is performing at the Mt. Gretna Tabernacle on Sunday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. Come out even if you don’t play flute!!! http://www.mtgretna.com/artscouncil/
Miscellaneous
1) If a student is going to miss a lesson, please call me by the evening before, and you won’t be charged for the lesson. I try and use times when students miss for makeup lessons, so please remember to call so I can attempt to fill the time. It’s even more important to be flexible in the summer! Remember, once I assign you a lesson time, I will not put another student in that slot. If you don’t plan on attending all of your scheduled lessons, please do not sign up. I have had to turn students away, and when a few who signed up did not come to their lessons for most of the summer everybody lost out.
2) IMPORTANT!!! Please do not plan spur-of-the-moment activities (i.e. a beach day!) for your lesson day. If a student calls off the night before or later more than once during the teaching session, I will bill the parent for the entire summer session, whether they are scheduled for all of them or not.
3) Please - if you need to contact me, email me a couple of days before the lesson, or call. Don’t send me an email the day of the lesson (or the night before) because I may not get it in time. Note: I only have Cell Phone in my studio - no email, internet or home phone. Thanks!
